Catching up

I’m back at my computer after an absence of just over two weeks - during that time I didn’t so much as touch a mouse or a keyboard! I didn’t miss it as much as I thought I would!

Not impressed with my PowerBook though - the sound has failed on it and it appears that this is not uncommon and may require a new logic board - ouch!

I have spent most of today catching up on email - if you sent me something and I haven’t responded by now, I may have missed it - please resend it!

Now I’m about to go through my blogroll to see what I missed while I was away (already I have heard about TechCamp and have signed up to attend, I have also heard about Google Talk - Google’s IM client - no Mac version grrr, and I have heard about Les Blogs 2.0 - Paris in December, eh? Now that sounds tempting!).

Loads more to read up on - it has obviously been a busy couple of weeks!

    Tom! Welcome home!

As for GTalk and Mac support, you can still use Adium or iChat to connect to the GTalk network. You’ll loose the nifty “Voice Calls”, but at least you’ll be able to chat with all of us. More info: http://www.google.com/talk/otherclients.html

… whoa … Don’t you just love what justified alignment does sometimes?

    James,

yep - I spotted the Adium support and I have set that up - I’m still disappointed by Google’s lack of Mac support though.
