Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) has been released according to Dean Hachamovitch on the the IE7 blog. It is now available for download here.
IE7 will be rolled out via a critical Windows update in the coming weeks which, as I have mentioned previously, will become a support nightmare. For this version it would make a huge amount of sense to have an IE6 look and feel (skin) as the default look with an option to change.

One of the most interesting aspects of the IE vs. Firefox battle is the development of the ecosystem of extensions or add-ons. Right now firefox had a great advantage in this space but you can see microsoft trying to catch up.
Microsoft has a interesting partner in Trailfire, a recommended download for IE7. See link:

I strongly dislike IE it is slow and not user friendly at all. If you want a good browser get firefox. It has many great features like downloadable extras etc.
I´m only wondering why yahoo released the new IE a few hours before MS itself….
