This is something &lt;a href="http://www.tomrafteryit.net/safari-passes-the-acid2-test/"&gt;Apple have been working on&lt;/a&gt; for quite some time - and they released a lot of the code afaik so that Konquerer (which uses the same khtml engine) also passes the test.</description>

		<description>It could be - as with that famous build of Firefox (?) that also passed Acid 2 - that it was specifically hacked to do this. 

This is the danger with benchmarks (as has happened repeatedly with both ATi and nVidia being caught cheating on 3DMark).</description>
