Failure to do so will require me to boot up the G3 again sometime in the future! That was a jest (as was my previous jibe). As maca says though it *is* just a beta thus far. IMO its far easier test new software on a larger scale by sticking with PCs at the beginning - and not just because of marketshare when you consider the amount of differing hardware setups in the PC world (and pretty much all Mac hardware combinations can be found in PCs (bar the processsor - and that'll change soon too)). That said, this is what you can expect from proprietary software solutions - the vendor gets to choose who to release to and support. If it was an Open Source solution, you could most likely check out the source and compile it yourself to check out the beta - if you wanted. With proprietary software thats never an option. Who said I was talking about myself here hostyle - I would never consider myself an influencer. When Scoble made that comment he was referring to Om Malik and bloggers of that ilk. People like that with a readership in the tens of thousands are influencers - and many of them use Macs - why annoy them?

I dunno, where are the posts demanding that iChat AV be released for PC? Not having a PC, I’m not about to make that post. In any case, I don’t use iChat and I suspect most Mac users are the same - I use both Adium and Skype.
