Oooh, I didn't have that happen - then again I run my feed through FeedBurner using a feedburner plugin for WordPress which re-directs and ensures the feed stays at tomrafteryit.net/feed so possibly this has the added advantage of fixing that issue!

Thanks Tom,

You're right, that works a treat. But my RSS feed seems to be scoobied by the permalink format too for some reason!?

It's a dark art indeed!

Tobin - a slightly better option is to bookmark the stats page and this seems to allow me to go straight to that page (now stats for Dec 05!) and then navigate to today's stats.

Other than that, I haven't found a way around it. Then again I haven't tried too hard as I don't check the stats too regularly.

Hi Tom,

You mentioned in your post on formatting permalinks for SEO that wordpress won't allow you to just use /%postname%/ without preventing access to your awstats.

I've had the same problem, and was hoping that the new version of wordpress would have that fixed, but I've upgraded and it's still a problem.

I was wondering if you've found any solutions to it (other than the one you mentioned last year - change the permalink format, check your stats, then change back)?

Thanks
